June 30, 2010 - Important Update For Early Retiree Reinsurance Program Applicants Final Application Issued Yesterday

If you are considering submitting an application for the Early Retiree Reinsurance Program, you should know that a final version of the application has been posted on the HHS website.  The application and instructions can be accessed at:  http://www.hhs.gov/ociio/regulations/index.html#early_retiree

Very Important:  The first final version of the application was revised several hours after it was released.  The application was revised to accommodate the entering of numeric sequences that start with zeros in fields requiring numbers (e.g., EIN, phone numbers, etc.). If you had problems with the first final version of the application, HHS has requested that you resubmit the application using the new updated form.  If you completed and submitted the first version of the application but did not experience a problem entering zeros, HHS has indicated that you do not need to re-complete the application form.

HHS also updated the Frequently Asked Questions, Application Submission Do’s and Don'ts, and instructions for filling out the application.  HHS has strongly encouraged applicants to review the Frequently Asked Questions, Application Submission Do’s and Don'ts, and instructions before completing and submitting the Early Retiree Reinsurance Program applications.
