 Todd Thun has twenty three years of experience that has focused on the integration of workers’ compensation and related employee benefits providing representation and counsel for employees, employers, health plans, medical providers and insurers. Todd Thun joined Hitesman & Associates to further expand his employee benefits law practice while also providing the firm with additional employee benefits services.
Todd advises clients for employee benefit related issues and laws for:
- Compliance with the Internal Revenue Code, ERISA, HIPAA, ADA, FMLA, COBRA and state insurance laws
- Advisement and recommendation of loss prevention and/or benefit recovery strategies
- Workers’ compensation
- Subrogation resolution
- General ligation

He speaks to legal and non-legal audiences regarding workers’ compensation and related employee benefits law.
An active participant in community activities, Todd has contributed his time in Habitat for Humanity, coaching youth sports, and also as a member of the North Hennepin Chamber of Commerce.
Todd earned both a Bachelors degree, with honors, and a Masters degree from Drake University. He also has a J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School. Todd is a member of the American Bar Association (Labor and Employment Law), Federal Bar Association, Minnesota State Bar Association (Labor and Employment Law), Wisconsin State Bar Association, Hennepin County Bar Association and the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association.
